How To Install Thoughtograph

Follow the instructions below to setup Thoughtograph and install your license.

Installing the Thoughtograph application

1. Install Java

   If you haven't already got it you will need to install Java. You can download the most up to date version of the Java Runtime Environment from Java.com. You will need to have Java 6 or better to run Thoughtograph.

2. Download Thoughtograph

   Select and download a suitable installer for your system from the Downloads page.

3. Install Thoughtograph

   Once the download has completed double-click the installer file and follow the wizard through to the end.

Installing the Thoughtograph License

If you have purchased a full License for Thoughtograph, here's how you can install the License file into the application.

1. Run Thoughtograph

   Run the application.

2. Run the "Upgrade License" wizard

   Once the application has loaded click the "Help" menu then select "License" and from the submenu which appears select "Upgrade License". The License Wizard dialog will then appear.

3. Save the License file to a local directory

   The License file will have been delivered to you as an attachment to an email. Save the file to any convenient directory on your computer. E.g. your Desktop or Documents folder.

4. Install the License file

   From the first screen of the License Wizard select "I have a valid license file" then click the "Next" button. Now either type in the path to the License file or click the ellipses "..." button to and use the File/Open dialog to browse for it. Once the file has been selected click "Next".

5. Activate the License

   If the License is valid you will now need to activate it. You can choose to activate online which requires an active internet connection. Or you can choose to activate offline if you're not currently connected to the net.

   • To activate online make sure your internet connection is active, then select the "Activate online" option and click "Next". the wizard will then contact our servers and automatically activate your License.
   • To activate offline select the "Activate offline" option and click "Next". Copy the License code into an email and send the email to us when you are next connected to the internet. We will send you back an activated License file which you can then install as described in steps 1 to 4.
6. Use Thoughtograph

   If all the above steps completed successfully you can now close the wizard and continue using Thoughtograph. Enjoy!
